We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to be aligned with our growing Podcast Team!

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a full-time social media guru to take charge of the social content for our in-house original podcasts network, Nova Podcasts'

Reporting to the Managing Producer - Podcasts, you will be responsible for the creation, production, and execution of digital and social content to entertain, grow and retain audiences. 

This will include scheduling daily social content in video, graphics, images, and editorial form across multiple platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter. 

Key to the success of this role is the deep understanding of online audiences and a creative eye for shareable and engaging social content. 

And a passion for podcasts is also a must!

You will hit the ground running if you:

  • Have the ability to brainstorm, produce and amplify first-class social media content for new launches and existing podcasts that exemplifies each podcast’s tone and audience
  • Can identify great content within a long form video or piece of audio to pick the right grab for social media
  • Are a high-quality writer, confident with grammar and headlines, able to write consistently good copy for public consumption without making errors
  • Know how to frame that ‘clickable moment’ using a headline or title that makes a captivating ‘sell’ in a social post caption
  • Have a passion for engaging audiences through social media and understand the best way of approaching content decisions for each format
  • Have strong skills in industry-standard Adobe photo, audio and video editing software
  • Have experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other analytics tools
  • Constantly innovate new ways to showcase our podcast content
  • Can manage the podcast content calendar and juggle conflicting priorities
  • Have the ability to work as a part of a team

 

WHO YOU ARE

You’ll be a passionate content creator with previous experience in the fast-paced world of digital.

To be successful in this role, ideally, you’ll have:

  • At least three years’ experience producing content for social media and managing social media accounts
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to tailor copy to a wide range of audiences
  • A genuine love for podcasts and the world of audio
  • Digital experience within radio or a similar media environment
  • Demonstrated usage of Photoshop, Canva, content management systems and social analytics platforms
  • Willingness to work outside business hours when required
