We are excited to announce we have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Officer to step up in their career. As a crucial member of our Head Office Finance team, you will be responsible for the day to day running of banking and the accounts payable function. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be part of a wider finance team who like to get the job done but also have fun along the way. We are a team that enjoys following sport, listening to great music and being a part of the broader Nova Entertainment family.
Success in this role will see you:
- Manage, review and process a high volume of invoices, ensuring validity of tax invoices, GST compliance and appropriate approvals across multiple stations and departments.
- Code all invoices to appropriate accounts and prepare payment batches weekly.
- Efficient processing via the M-files automated invoice approval process and training of new approvers to the system.
- Maintain supplier details and complete monthly supplier reconciliations.
- Month End maintenance of trade creditor ledgers.
- Maintain contractor payments for payroll tax purposes.
- Process daily banking and complete reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Prepare and consolidate PAYG invoices for payroll.
- Process external payments (e.g. prize-winner payments, ATO payments, Intercompany payments and International payments).
- Maintenance of the Accounts Payable Inbox and supplier queries.
You will hit the ground running if you have:
- Strong Customer Service focus – this includes an ability to communicate with our stakeholders via email but also being happy to pick up the phone
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy – you are known for being really thorough and ensuring your reconciliations are spot on
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and deal with conflicting deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative and capacity to solve problem
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Previous experience in the Media/Advertising or other High Volume industry is desirable.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience within an Accounts All Rounder Role
- Preferable experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP & M-File systems
