THE POSITION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Newsreader/Journalist to join Smooth Breakfast News - Melbourne with a view to be able to cover shifts in other markets and across Nova and Smooth stations.
As a Smooth Newsreader, you will work closely with the News Team, Program Directors and Announcers to ensure on air news content is current, accurate and consistent with brand style.
This role will be responsible for developing, writing and editing on air news bulletins (news, sport, traffic and weather) as well as bulletins for our news podcast offering “The Update”. You’ll have to maintain the smooth running of news broadcasts by ensuring content is compliant with all broadcast codes of conduct.
There is opportunity to work across both Smooth stations in all markets.
ABOUT YOU
We are ideally looking for a journalist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience who has media and/or radio experience and strong technical skills in writing and editing news bulletins
You will have a strong interest in news and current affairs and your news reading style will suit the Smooth brand.
